114th Assembly District Candidate Dennis Tarantino was out early this morning to vote and thank election workers while later in the morning Warren County Chair Lynne Boecher and Treasurer Dave O'Brien were visiting voters and planting signs before heading to the West Glens Falls firehouse polling station on the first stop thanking election inspectors with a candy gift.

Den Tarantino found a large and receptive crowd at the opening of the Adirondack Balloon Festival, first at the inaugural launch at Crandall Park, and later at the antique car show in downtown Glens Falls. It was a busy afternoon and evening with Den meeting a surprising number of supporters urging him on.
Thumbs up on the campaign!

United Transportation Union Endorses Tarantino For Assembly!
Assembly candidate Dennis Tarantino announced today that his race for the open seat in the new 114th District has been endorsed by the United Transportation Union, AFL-CIO.
According to Samuel J. Nasca, New York State Legislative Director for the United Transportation Union, Tarantino’s history, credentials and “vast experience in politics and ancillary activities” well positioned him for the New York State Assembly.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the United Transportation Union,” Tarantino said. “I also appreciate the contribution the UTU makes to our state. I am grateful for labor support again and I look forward to working with the United Transportation Union in Albany in January.”
The union will be alerting its members of Tarantino’s candidacy, and will be working for his election November 6th, according to Legislative Director Nasca. The union represents rail, private and public transportation and aviation workers across New York State.

Great parade in Port Henry today. Nice to say hello to Congressman Owens, Assemblywoman Sayward and Town Supervisor Scozzafava. Really nice to meet the friendly crowds and walk with Penelope the Clown ("I want to go to Albany to get rid of those clowns!"...one bystander yelled back: "Good, but keep Penelope!") Off to Jay/Au Sable Forks for their parade on Labor Day.
Took some great pictures, too!
